Wilma Wagoner

Wilma Grace Wagoner, 100, of Pine Village, IN. passed away Saturday evening, May 15, 2021 at the residence of her granddaughter, Jody Brown, who had been one of her caregivers. Wilma was born in Brown County, IN December 5, 1920, the daughter of the late George and Ella Florence (Brummett) Sturgeon and attended Otterbein, IN schools. She married LaVern Wagoner in Oxford, IN June 3, 1939, and he preceded her in death March 4, 2010. Wilma was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife, assisting her husband whenever and wherever she could and was a member of the Oxford Church of Christ. Surviving is her granddaughter, Jody Brown (Bob) of Otterbein; three great grandchildren, Alyssa Munsey of Lafayette; Bryndon Brown (Lillian) of Fowler; Brock Brown of Fowler; and by two great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Brinson and Destiny Grater. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael D. Wagoner; and siblings Alpha, Howard, Pauline and Georgianna. Friends may call at the Oxford Church of Christ from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM Tuesday May 25, Larry McMillan officiating, with interment following in Justus Cemetery.
