Virginia Mae Zink, 87, of Oxford, IN. died at Rosewalk Village Healthcare in Lafayette, IN. Wednesday April 9, 2014 where she had been a patient since February 13. Virginia was born in Hammond, IN. September 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Jesse and Leora Frodge Green and attended Attica, IN. schools. She married Albert E. “Red” Zink at Oxford September 20, 1946, and he preceded her in death July 4, 1994. Virginia was a homemaker, and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Oak Grove Home Ec Club and the former VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Oxford. Surviving are two daughters, Sally Zink of Oxford, IN.; Linda Mailloux (husband Robert) of Winter Haven, FL and a son, Michael Zink of Oxford, IN. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Jill Mailloux of State College, PA.; Jennifer and Lisa Mailloux of Austin TX., and by a great-granddaughter, Alyssa Huff of State College, PA. Virginia was preceded in death by a son, David Zink. Friends may call at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Oxford from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM Tuesday, Fr. Robert Klemme officiating. The interment will be in Oxford Catholic Cemetery. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
