Virginia Schneidt

Virginia Marie Schneidt, 95, of Valparaiso, IN. and formerly of Fowler, IN. died at her residence at the Pines Village Retirement Community in Valparaiso Saturday December 18, 2010 at 7:30 AM. She had resided in Fowler from 1964 until moving to Valparaiso in 2005. Mrs. Schneidt was born in Rensselaer, Indiana, September 10, 1915, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Zink Borntrager, and graduated from Rensselaer, IN. High School. She married Irvin J. Schneidt at Rensselaer, IN. May 4, 1949, and he preceded her in death April 17, 2008. Mrs. Schneidt was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler, and enjoyed reading, walking and visiting with family and friends. Surviving is a son, Arthur J. Schneidt (wife Chris) of Valparaiso, IN. and a sister Edana Deverall of West Lafayette, IN. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Tasha Djurovic. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fowler from 10 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Tuesday, Fr. Donald Gross officiating, with interment to follow in Mt.
