Vincent Suppinger

Vincent Michael Suppinger, 72, of Lafayette, passed away at Creasy Springs Health Campus 1:15 PM Monday August 30, 2021 where he had been a patient since October, 2020. He was born in South Bend, IN August 11, 1949, the son of Albert Suppinger and the late Dorothy (Horwarth) Suppinger. Vincent was a graduate of Washington High School in South Bend, IN and received his Bachelors Degree from Purdue University in 1971 and his Masters, also from Purdue, in 1976. He married Suzanne Hess at Lanesville, IN October 23, 1971, and she survives. Vincent was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and professionally was a teacher and coach for the Tippecanoe County School Corporation from 1972 until 2013. He taught different science classes, was head wrestling coach for over 25 years and was an assistant football coach, all at McCutcheon High School. Surviving is his wife, Suzanne; his father Albert Suppinger of South Bend, IN; two daughters, Carla Scott (Louis) of Romney, IN; Sara Musick (Brett) of Westfield, IN; a son, Aaron Suppinger (Laurie) of Lafayette; three brothers, Albert Suppinger (Pat) of Murfreesboro, TN, Paul Suppinger (Barb) of Ninety-Six, SC, Michael Suppinger of South Bend, IN; and two sisters, Margaret Meert (Greg) of Mishawauka, IN and Annemarie Pillman (John) of Greenwood, SC. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Suppinger. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Saturday September 4 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lafayette, Fr. Andrew Dudzinski officiating. Private family interment will be held at St. Boniface Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Lafayette Central Catholic High School or Joyful Journey of West Lafayette.
