Victor Gick, 91 of Fowler Indiana passed away April 18, 2018 at 10:05 pm in his home Victor was born July 11, 1926 in Templeton Indiana to John A. and Sophia Elizabeth (Brettnacher) Gick. Victor Graduated from Oxford High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Intrepid during WWII. Victor returned from the war and married the love of his life, Jaqueline F Morgan on February 14 1948. They went on to have 5 children, Michael M Gick (Marianne) Falls Church VA, Terri Holthouser, Indianapolis, IN, Martin V Gick, Indianapolis IN, Jeffery F Gick (Jennifer) Leesburg VA, and John P Gick (Lisa) of Fowler In. Victor grew up on the farm in Templeton and went on to build a very successful operation himself, which he eventually turned over to his son John in 1988. Victor was involved in many activities through the years from Fishing, and Golfing to Bowling leagues. He really enjoyed going to his grandkids basketball games. After the death of his wife on February 19 of 2008 he was asked to “Man the Rails” of the USS Intrepid one last time. On October 2, 2008 Victor and his family were a part of the USS Intrepid journey back to Manhattan NY where it is now a floating Museum. He was preceded in death by his Siblings, Rosa Gick, Helen Gick, Josephine Moyer, Mary Moyer, Fredrick Gick, Robert Gick, John Walter Gick, and Daniel Gick. Visitation will be on Saturday April 28, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church Fowler IN from 9am-11am with a Funeral mass at 11 am. A funeral dinner for friends and family will follow at Sacred Heart School.
