Vaughn J. Zink, 51, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Tuesday February 28th, 2017. He was born on January 29, 1966 in Lafayette to Ronald W. Zink and Barbara A. Zink of West Point, IN. Vaughn graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1984 and was an avid mechanic and auto-body man for many years. He enjoyed motorcycles, fixing or painting anything with wheels, being outdoors, and spending time with his family, especially his parents, children, and granddaughter. Vaughn had the biggest heart and the warmest grin despite the depression that affected his mind and life at a very young age. Surviving along with his parents are his daughter Kaila (husband Evan) Martin of Lafayette, IN, his son Avery (fiancé Kate) Zink of West Lafayette, IN, granddaughter Kallie Martin, brothers Jeff (wife Torrie) Zink of Sherrillsford, NC, Wayne (wife Shelia) Zink of West Point, IN, Damian Zink of Bowling Green, KY, Adam Zink of Baker City, OR, Justin (wife Carol) Zink of West Point, IN, a sister Erin (husband Mark) Whitlock of West Point, IN, and 18 nieces and nephews. The Rosary will be recited at 2:45 pm, followed by visitation from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, March 5, at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia Street, Lafayette, IN. The Mass of Christian will be at 10:30 am on Monday, March 6, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 612 Wabash Avenue, Lafayette, IN, with Father Dominic Young officiating. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made for his dear granddaughter and future grandchildren to the Kallie Martin Scholarship Fund.
