Thomas Heath

Thomas Earl Heath, 85, of Lafayette, passed away at his residence in Lafayette Sunday February 26, 2023 unexpectedly. Tom was born in Lafayette January 19, 1938, the son of the late Charles and Ileen (Garrison) Heath and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. He married Jerri Ruth Sperback in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette October 17, 1959 and she preceded him in death October 14, 2022. Tom was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and was employed as a printer for Haywood Printing in Lafayette as well as being a member of the Printers Union and a vintage automobile enthusiast. Surviving are two brothers, James Heath (Diane) of Lafayette, Dennis Heath (Denise) of Monticello, IN; a sister Lisa Grom (Dave) of Ft. Wayne, IN and Bobbi Jo Toland, who was Tom and Jerri’s caretaker the past several months. Tom was preceded in death by a son, Wade Heath in 2008, and by two brothers, Jerry and Mike Heath. Friends may call at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette from 10:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM Wednesday March 8, Fr. Matthew Kalu officiating. The interment will follow Mass at Swank Cemetery east of Lafayette in Perry Township. Memorials may be directed to the Almost Home Humane Society.
