Thomas J. Devero, 82, of West Lafayette and formerly of Knox, Indiana, died at the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette, IN. 2:43 AM Saturday March 19, 2011 where he had resided since April 22, 1986. Mr. Devero was born in Chicago, IL. February 21, 1929, the son of the late Thomas Anthony and Viola Glenn Devero and was a graduate of Knox, IN. High School. He worked for the Starke County Highway Department for many years before retiring, and had served in the United States Marine Corps, both in the Korean and Viet Nam Wars. Surviving is a son, Dennis Rudd of Austin,Texas and a special friend, Bonnie Fox of Knox, IN. Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Qwynton & Makaila Rudd of Knox, IN. Friends may call at the Indiana Veterans Home Chapel one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM Wednesday, Chaplain David Hess officiating.
