Thelma Louise Bisner Wollin, 93, of West Lafayette, and formerly of the Battle Ground and Rainsville, IN. areas, died at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette 12:00 AM Thursday December 6, 2012 where she had been a patient since Monday. Thelma was born in Rainsville, IN. June 10, 1919, the daughter of the late William and Dora Newman Cox, and attended Hooker, Rainsville and Pine Village Schools.
Thelma was first married to Anthony Perrin in 1936, and they later divorced. She later married Kenneth Bisner at Boswell, IN. in 1940, and he died in 1984. In 1987 she married Clarence Wollin at Montmorenci, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Mrs. Wollin had worked at the Green Acres Restaurant, Woolworth's and later the former Holiday Inn North as a cook and salad person. She was a member of the Rainsville United Methodist Church, and enjoyed camping at Sugar Mill Lake for 30 years as well as making chocolate candy for her family and socializing with the residents of Friendship House North.
Surviving is a son, James Perrin (wife Donna) of Litchfield, AZ.; three daughters, Judith K. Kientz (husband Harry) of Newport, IN.; Shirley Fox (husband Richard) of Attica, IN.; Janet Karlstrand (husband Roger) of Brookston, IN.; and by two step-daughters, Mary West of Arizona; Patty Martin of California; a step-son, George Wollin of California; and by a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Bisner of West Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas L. Bisner.
