Tessa Lynn Hamelman, 35, of Oxford, Indiana, passed away on February 10, 2018, from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born on March 22, 1982, in Michigan City, Indiana, and grew up in Oxford, Indiana. Tessa was the beloved daughter of Susie (Dennis) Johnson and Paul Schoof. She graduated from Benton Central High School, in Oxford, Indiana, with the class of 1982. Tessa was employed at Drug Plastics Manufacturing in Oxford where she made some wonderful friends prior to her passing.
Tessa and her fiancé, Craig Norris, 43, both perished in the accident. She leaves behind three beautiful daughters; Hannah Marie Hamelman, Gracie Hamelman, and Madison Lee Hamelman, and two soon to be step-daughters, Bailey (Ralph) Myars, Kaitlyn Norris and step-grandson, Grayson Norris. Other survivors include; sister, Melissa (Doug) Goodrich of Morgan, Minnesota, a brother, Zachary Johnson of Lafayette, Indiana, half-sister, Sara Schoof of Westville, Indiana, half-brother, Chip Schoof of LaPorte, Indiana, and step-brother, David Schoof currently serving in the Armed Forces. Tessa also leaves behind 4 nieces and 2 nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Tessa was an incredible mother who loved her daughters wholeheartedly. She was always present at their many activities and was their greatest fan. Family was a priority to her. She also enjoyed antiquing and flower gardening.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends may contribute to the Tessa Hamelman’s Daughters Memorial Trust Fund through Alliance Bank in Oxford, Indiana.

Madison St., Fowler, IN from 10:00 AM until the service at 12:00 PM Friday Feb. 16, Pastor Kirk Zimmerman officiating, with the interment to follow at Justus Cemetery in Oxford.
