Terry Lewis

Terry L. Lewis, 51, of Lafayette, died at his residence 6:20 PM Saturday July 14, 2012, lovingly surrounded by his family and friends.
Terry was born October 26, 1960 in Decatur, Illinois to Larry and Joan Deardorff Lewis, who reside in Pana, Illinois. He was a 1978 graduate of Mt. Zion High School in Mt. Zion, IL. and was a 1983 graduate of Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
He married Debra L. "Deb" Madix at Decatur, IL. July 14, 1984 and she survives.
Terry was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, served as an usher; was a member of the CPA Society and was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. He participated in Junior Achievement; was past president of the East Tipp Booster Club; was active in youth sports, including coaching and organizing basketball, baseball and softball. He was a huge sports fan, including the Chicago Cubs and Bears, the University of Illinois and NASCAR.
Terry has been employed with Fairfield Manufacturing since January 1986, most recently as Business Unit CFO.
Surviving with his wife and parents is a son, Drew Lewis and 2 daughters, Kaitlyn and Lindsey Lewis, all of Lafayette; 2 brothers, Ted Lewis (wife Sharon) of Lafayette; Todd Lewis (wife Lorie) of Hamilton, IL.; a sister, Tracy Von Behren of Kansas City, MO.; his maternal grandmother, Lucy Deardorff of Bethany, IL.; his mother-in-law Mary Jane Madix of Decatur, IL.; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Mike and Stephanie Madix of Bloomington, IL.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at St. Lawrence Catholic Church from 5 until 8 PM Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Fr. Dan Gartland officiating, with interment following in North Union Cemetery near Buck Creek.
