Terri Swisher

Terri Lynn Swisher (Jennings), 60, of Lafayette, passed away Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at IU Arnett Hospital after a tough battle with cancer. She always wore a smile on her face and never gave up hope.
She was born on May 29th, 1954 and was preceded in death by her father, Lavern Brummett. Her mother, Donna Brummett, survives in Linden. She was married on October 19th, 1973, to her dedicated and loving husband, Joe Swisher. They recently celebrated their 41st Wedding Anniversary.
She graduated from South Montgomery in 1972 and also studied at Purdue University. She worked for The M.A.I.L Group as the Human Resources Manager for 22 years. She enjoyed BINGO, bowling, visiting Las Vegas and the ocean. She also loved camping, mushroom hunting, road trips to Owensboro and cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She dedicated a large amount of her time to the Tippecanoe County Relay for Life for many years and was determined to help find a cure.
In addition to her husband and mother, Terri is survived by step-son, Joseph Swisher of Owensboro; son, Matt Swisher (Rebecca Shane) of Lafayette; daughter, Julie Bogan (Joshua) of Lafayette; and daughter Andrea Kellogg (Ben) of Lafayette. Also surviving are six grandchildren: Taylor, Bailey, Kai, Mason, Braylie and Jaden; brother, Tim Brummett (Tammy) of Linden; sister, Lisa Marlett (Joe) of New Richmond.
Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Friday December 26th, 2014 at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, located at 1104 Columbia Street in Lafayette. Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Dec 27th at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Johnson Cemetery on 800 South near Stockwell, IN. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at The Eagles in Lafayette.
Memorial Contributions may be made to The Relay For Life of Tippecanoe County.
