Terri Scott, 68, of Lafayette, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis from complications related to COVID-19. She was born on July 3, 1953, in Indianapolis, In., the son of the late Robert L. and Donna (Miller) Stevenson of Jasonville, In. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. “Bob” Scott, as well as her parents and her older brother, Doug (widow:Kreta Stevenson). Mrs. Scott was a 1971 graduate of Shakamak High School, in Jasonville, In. She married Bob Scott in Bloomington, In., on Feb. 17, 1973. Terri worked in various offices over the years, including longer stints for the Diocese of Lafayette and the Hillel Foundation at Purdue University. Surviving are her two sons, Andrew Scott (wife: Victoria Barrett) of Indianapolis, and Steven Scott of Lafayette; four grandchildren: Dahlia, Daphne, Finn, and Ewan; one brother, John Stevenson (wife: Torey) of Jasonville, In.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. Terri was a kind and caring mother, sister, daughter, and wife who would do anything for her loved ones. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her four grandchildren, gardening, and crafting the handmade cards she became known for later in life. A private graveside service will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lafayette on Friday Dec. 31. The family requests that those attending wear masks and be vaccinated against COVID.
