Suzanne Davenport

Suzanne Davenport, 69, of Lafayette, died at Clarian-Arnett Hospital 1:54 A.M. Sunday January 10, 2010. She had been a patient there for 1 day and in ill health the past 5 years. Born in Lafayette November 17, 1940, the daughter of the late Ralph J. and Dorothy M. Arman Doran, she was a life -long Lafayette resident. She attended Lafayette Catholic Schools and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Ms. Davenport had been employed as a dental assistant and office manager of local dentists, Drs. Ed Minear, Farrell Simmerman and Vincent Guido. Surviving are 2 sisters, Mary E. Hendrickson and Janie J. Jameson, both of Lafayette. Also surviving are 4 nieces, Michelle A. Anthrop (husband Mark); Lynne Knowles (husband Ron); Kathy Hendrickson (fiancAC. Dennis Cook) & Stacy Evans; a nephew, Jeremy Jameson (wife Julie); 2 great nieces, Lyndsey & Katelyn; 9 great-nephews,Caleb,Kyle, Cole, Levi, Carson, Rory, Grayson, Alex & Charlie; and 3 great-great-nephews, Braydan, Jack & Colton. Suzanne enjoyed watching her nephews play baseball, and she enjoyed fishing. She was a great baker, and helped raise her nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St. from noon until the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Fr. Tim Alkire officiating. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
