Steven Hilt

Steven W. Hilt, 70, of Brookston, IN passed away Tuesday morning October 12, 2021 surrounded by his family in his home. He was born October 7, 1951 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of the late Kenneth and Charlotte (Klaverenga) Hilt. Steven married Lori L. Shuck in Ft. Wayne, IN June 19, 1987, and she survives. He was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School, and served in the U. S. Navy during the Viet Nam War. He had been employed as a restaurant manager and later worked at Menard’s. He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; daughter Kasie Edington (spouse Austin Edington); son, Nicholas Hilt (spouse Hailey Hilt); three grandsons, Clay, Jaxtyn and Cohen; and arriving soon, triplets Hazel, Hadley and Hunter. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Charlotte Hilt and by two brothers, Terry and Gary Hilt. Steven loved spending time at home with his wife and his dogs. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving husband and father, proud patriot and U. S. Navy veteran. There will be no services at this time.
