Scott Neff

Scott Charles Neff, 42, of Lafayette, IN passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021. With strength and courage, he fought an almost 3 year battle with ALS that ended his life. He was born on August 6, 1978 in Lafayette, IN to Steven Neff (Marla) and Cathy Hunsberger Neff. He was married to Karla Robinson Neff on October 22, 2011. Scott graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High 1996. He worked as a heavy equipment operator in the early 2000’s for the Local 103 IOE. He joined the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 4-INK in 2007 where he was able to complete his Associates Degree and became a Journeyman. Scott started SCN Tile, Inc in 2011, his own successful tiling business with his brother, Andrew by his side. Scott was a hard worker and a jack of all trades and he was able to master them all. Scott played baseball during most his childhood and enjoyed summer and fall leagues of softball for over a decade. He enjoyed watching college football, listening to loud music, fast cars and long drives, tinkering with things around the house, and spending time with friends and family. He was able to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning a fast, modified Mustang and enjoyed giving his riders’ quite a thrill. Scott was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He will be missed by many. Surviving with Scott's parents, Cathy and Steven (Marla) and wife Karla are two daughters, Ella and Evie; his siblings, Brian (Shannon) of Newburgh, Patrick (Stacey) of Dayton, and Andrew (Jessica) of Lafayette. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; Emma, Darian, Charlotte, Bowen, Harrison, and Violet. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday June 5 at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. Graveside services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lafayette at 1:30 PM Saturday June 5, Fr. Ted Rothrock officiating.
