Sandra Clifton

Sandra Kay Clifton, 75, of West Lafayette, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Emergency Room 9:49 AM Wednesday Sept. 19, 2018. Sandy was born in Lafayette July 9, 1943, the daughter of the late George J. and Helen A. Aschenberg Wiese, and was a life long resident of Lafayette, graduating from Lafayette Central Catholic High School. She married Wallace G. Clifton at St. Lawence Catholic Church in Lafayette May 26, 1962, and he survives. Sandy was employed as a secretary for Wabash Wholesale Meats and Church of the Blessed Sacrament. She was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, loved arts and crafts, scrap booking and working crossword puzzles. Sandy especially enjoyed giving her creations to family members and gifts for babies and weddings. She also enjoyed watching youtube and Pinterest videos on crafting. Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Cheryle A. Pillow (Tim) of San Diego, CA; Tami L. Burchardt (Mike) of New Haven, IN; two brothers, Donald G. Wiese (Connie) and George J. Wiese (Lisa) both of Lafayette; by three grandchildren, Kate E. Coveney (Corey), Thomas J. Coveney and Zachery Burchardt; and by two step-grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Pillow. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald "Jerry" Wiese. Friends may call at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in West Lafayette from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Chistian Burial at 11:00 AM Monday Sept. 24 with interment to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
