Sally Cole

Sally Jane Cole, 69, of Lafayette, died unexpectedly Thursday September 1, 2016 at her residence. Sally was born in Libertyville, IL October 13, 1946, the daughter of the late James Albert and Helen Ann Bintner Trott. She was a graduate of Dwight, IL High School and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Illinois and her Master’s Degree from Purdue University. Sally taught 3rd Grade for Cumberland Elementary School and later Glen Acres Elementary School, retiring in 2007. She married Lee A. Cole, Jr. at Peoria, IL, January 31, 1970 and he survives. Sally was a member of St. Mary Cathedral in Lafayette. Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Julie C. Watson (husband Ford) of London, England; a son, Joshua N. Cole (wife Diane) of Silver Spring, MD, and a sister, Elaine Lamm (husband Gary) of Washington, IL. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Blake Watson of London, England and Lucinda Cole of Silver Spring, MD. She was preceded in death by a sister Mary Ann Hill. Friends may call at St. Mary Cathedral from 9:30 Am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Friday, Fr. Jeff Martin officiating. The interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
