Ruth Curtis Hudson

Ruth A (Curtis) Hudson Crawfordsville, Formerly of Linden, IN Left this earth to go live eternally with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven Born February 4, 1942 near Sulphur Lick, Ky Daughter of the late Leander and Pernie Hume Walker The family move to the Brookston In. area in 1952 where Ruth attended Brookston High School. She met Roy L Curtis in January 1958 and they were married December 24, 1958 in Colfax, In. They lived in the Linden area from the early 1960's to 1983, Roy passed away February 5, 1976 She then married Lester Hudson of Solsberry, In. on December 31, 1986 he passed away January 6, 1995. Ruth is survived by a daughter Rhonda L Owens of Deer Park, Tx. A son Rev. Rick A Curtis D.D. of Crawfordsville, In. A granddaughter Jennifer R. Owens and a Great Grandson Jonathan R. Owens-Trevino of La Porte, Tx. And several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a member of the former Linden Baptist Church She also attended Liberty Church of God in Solsberry, In. Ruth was a home maker in the 60's. 1971 to 1983 Ruth worked as a waitress for Romney Truck Stop, Linden Café and Linden Southside Tavern. From 1987 to 1995 she was a waitress and cook at Rosie’s Diner in Solsberry, In. Ruth then worked at Patrick’s Bowling Lanes in Sullivan, In. from 1995 as a cook until retirement in 2004. She enjoyed NASCAR, NFL football, Collage Football and Basketball, her favorite team was the Indianapolis Colts and the Purdue Boilermakers. She loved working crossword puzzles, watching her favorite tv shows. Ruth loved her family and friends especially her granddaughter and great grandson. Besides her parents and her 2 former husbands Ruth was preceded in death by a daughter Becky L Owens, Sisters Pauline & Lorine (Sis) Deckard, Omie & Eagle Bailey, Pat Perigo and Betty Padgett. One brother Kenneth Walker. Graveside services will be held at Linden Cemetery 10:30 AM Monday January 25, 2021, Rev. Rick A. Curtis, D.D. and Rev. David Hunter officiating.
