Ruby Daniels, 67, of Oxford, IN. died at her residence Friday morning December 25, 2009 suddenly and unexpectedly. Born in Monticello, Kentucky June 11, 1942 the daughter of the late John Quincy and Delia Bell Slavens, she resided most of her life in Oxford. She married James O. Daniels in Templeton, IN. September 10, 1960, and he preceded her in death January 12, 2002. Mrs. Daniels attended Oxford, IN. schools, and last worked for Funks Hybrids in Kentland, IN. She previously was employed by Asgrow Hybrids in Oxford; Harrison Steel in Attica; Capital Products in Kentland and Warren Puzzle in Lafayette. Surviving are 2 daughters, Anita Blystone (husband Chuck) of Oxford, IN.; Beth Davis (husband David) of Oxford, IN.; 2 sons, Jimmie Daniels of West Lafayette, IN. and Joe Daniels (companion Vickie) of Rensselear, IN.; 3 sisters, Thelma Winchester of Oxford, IN.; Reba Watson of West Lafayette, IN.; Pauline Anderson of Pine Village, IN.; and 4 brothers, Bob Slavens (wife Lucy) of Marietta, GA,; Clifford Slavens of Emerson, GA.; and Ron & Don Slavens, both of Fowler, IN. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 brothers, Wendell & Cecil Slavens.
