Roy Avery Henry of Oxford, IN, passed away at 6:13 a.m. July 26, 2016 in Williamsport, IN. Born September 18, 1955, in Lafayette, IN, he was the son of Avery and Rose Henry. Roy was a graduate of Benton Central High School. He was formerly married to Lois Henry for 32 years. Roy was a business man who experienced many successes. He attended the Oxford Church of Christ for many years and later established his own ministry – King David Ministries. Roy was passionate about racing and known to many as the announcer at Daugherty Speedway, formerly the Henry Speedway. Roy loved music and was a talented musician. He played multiple instruments, created original tunes for many friends, and recorded several tracks. His kindness and many talents will be fondly treasured by all who knew and loved him. Surviving family include one daughter, Jessie (Justin) Rossetter of Lafayette, IN; three sons, Jason Henry of Clear Lake, CA, Joey Henry of Oxford, IN, and Johnny (Nicki) Henry of Lafayette, IN; 6 grandchildren; and one brother, Alan Henry of Oxford, IN. Preceded in death with his parents was a sister, Marilyn Henry. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday August 1, 2016 at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home in Oxford, IN. Friends may visit from 11:00 until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Oxford West Cemetery in Oxford, IN.
