Robert C. Woolf, 90, of Lafayette, died at St. Mary's Healthcare center in Lafayette 9:35 PM Thursday November 11, 2010. Mr. Woolf was born in Lafayette July 30, 1920, the son of the late Charles and Florence Steinbaugh Woolf, and was a 1939 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. He married Elaine Reindl in Manitowoc, WI. April 27, 1957, and she survives. Mr. Woolf retired in 1986 from Biggs Pump and Supply where he had been a foreman in the shipping and warehouse departments and had previously worked for a number of years at Peerless Wire. He was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge Aerie 347 for 81 years; was an avid bowler before his retirement; enjoyed watching old western movies, especially those with John Wayne; enjoyed watching detective stories; the Chicago Cubs and family gatherings. Surviving with his wife are 2 daughters, Kathy Lynch (husband Steve) of Battle Ground, IN.; Jean Woolf of Lafayette; and a son, Joseph Woolf of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack E. Woolf. The Rosary service will be held at 3:45 PM Monday followed by visitation from 4 to 7 PM Monday at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, Father Eric Underwood and Father Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Interment to follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. If friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cathedral for debt reduction or capital Improvement.
