Robert Lee Jennings, 67, of West Lafayette, died at the Illiana Veterans Administration Hospital, Danville, IL. 1:55 P.M. Tuesday June 3, 2008. Born on the banks of the Wabash and Erie Canal, May 19, 1941, the son of the late Cleave and Martha Taylor Jennings, he resided in the Lafayette-West Lafayette area most all of his life. He was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School, and received his Associates's Degree from IVY Tech. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 25th Infantry in Viet Nam. Surviving is a sister, Merilou Jackson of West Lafayette and a brother, Charles Jennings of Satellite Beach, FL. Robert requested that his body be donated to the Indiana University School of Medicine, with interment of the remains at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
