Richard Thompson

Richard Thompson, 61, of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly on Saturday, September 12th. Born on October 5, 1953 to Carolyn Simpson and the late Robert Thompson, he attended Crawfordsville schools and graduated from Purdue University. Rick worked at Purdue's ITAP department for almost 40 years. He was a beloved husband of 35 years to his wife, Geri, and a devoted father to three sons: Aiden (Abby), Indianapolis, Lucas, New York City, and Seth, Indianapolis.
Along with his immediate family, he is survived by his mother, Carolyn Simpson (Lee), Ladoga, two brothers: Don Thompson, Crawfordsville, Larry Thompson (Deb), Danville, and a sister, Linda Cord (Brian), Crawfordsville. Rick was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas, where a celebration-of-life mass will be held on Thursday, September 17 at 2:00pm.
