Richard Edmundson

Richard J. "Dick" Edmundson, 67, of Lafayette, died at Indiana University Health, Arnett Hospital 4:13 PM Sunday January 6, 2013. He was born in Centrailia, IL February 27, 1945, the son of the late Claude Logan and Mildred Elizabeth Drysdale Edmundson. Dick was a 1963 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Lafayette, and attended Purdue University.
He had formerly worked for Fauber Construction, and was a real estate agent for Century 21. Later, Dick was a construction supervisor for Mennen Builders from 2000 to 2004, and was a county building inspector for Tippecanoe County from 2004 until 2009. He was a member of the Indiana Association of Building officials.
Mr. Edmundson served in the US Navy from 1963 until 1967 during the Viet Nam War.
Surviving are three sons, Don Stivers (wife Sandy) of Brownsburg, IN.; Jeff Stivers (wife Margie) of Noblesville, IN.; Brad Stivers (wife Teresa) of Lafayette, IN.; 3 brothers, John Edmundson (wife Carol) of Lafayette, IN.; R. William Edmundson (wife Diane) of Chicago, IL.; and Ronald L. Edmundson of Germany; and by a special friend, Janet Flock of Lafayette, IN.
Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews. He was preceded indeath by a grandson.
