Rebecca Ann Woerner

Rebecca Ann Woerner, 74, of Templeton, IN passed away at Five Star Living Center in Lafayette, IN 10:50 PM Sunday July 9, 2023 where she had been residing the past 18 months. Rebecca was born in Indianapolis, IN June 10, 1949, the daughter of the late William H. and Wilma J. Buhr. She was a graduate of Oxford, IN High School, Ivy Tech and Purdue University Schools of Nursing and had been employed at the former Otterbein Nursing Home. Rebecca married Donald E. Woerner at New Buffalo, MI August 9, 1969 and he preceded her in death March 5, 2022. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church, was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed gardening and doing crafts. Surviving is a daughter, Amy Tarvin (Patrick) of Williamsport, IN, two brothers, Anthony J. “A.J.” Dayhuff, John B. “J.B.” Dayhuff (Teresra), and three sisters, Rita M. Young (George), Mary Ann Warf and Malissa J. Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents, William H and Wilma J. Buhr, her step-father, Hubert W. Dayhuff and a sister, Susan E. Dayhuff. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday July 14. A private family interment will take place at Oxford West Cemetery in Oxford, IN.
