Ralph Allen

Ralph Eugene Allen, 74, of Williamsport, IN., formerly of Lafayette and Otterbein, died at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis 1:45 AM Friday May 29, 2009. Born in Delphi, IN. March 12, 1935, the son of the late Reed McCormick and Helen Lucille Allen, he was a 1956 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Mr. Allen had worked for Peerless Wire Goods, later Essex Wire, and retired in 2000 from Wabash National. He was a member of the former Greenbush Street Baptist Church. Surviving is a sister, Carolyn Sue Chase (husband Rev. James E.) of Lafayette. Also surviving are 4 nephews and 11 great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a brother Donald Reed Allen. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 11:30 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Monday, Rev. James E. Chase officiating.
