Phyllis M. "Maxine" Sharp, 81, of Lafayette, died at Parkview Haven Retirement Home in Francesville, IN. Thursday October 22, 2015. Maxine was born in Manson, IN. February 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Earl and Violet Green and attended Catholic schools in Frankfort, IN. She married Earl E. Sharp, Sr. in Boone County, IN January 19, 1955, and he preceded her in death June 13, 1984. Maxine was a homemaker, but had been employed briefly at the cigar factory in Frankfort and later for Kenny's shirt laundry in Lafayette. She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, quilting and working crossword puzzles, but her biggest joy was her family. Surviving are six daughters, Debbie Hendricks (Gary) of Chrisman, IL, Vicki Davis of Michigantown, IN, Sherrie Mullett (Bill) of Lebanon, MO, Terrie Bell (Jack) of Lafayette, IN, Treasa Branstetter of Lafayette, IN, Tracy Katter (John) of Lafayette, IN and a son, Mark Allen Sharp (Lori) of Bringhurst, IN. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son Earl Sharp, Jr, two brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St. from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM Tuesday Oct. 27, Fr. Andrew R. DeKeyser officiating. The interment will follow at IOOF Memorial Gardens near Delphi, IN. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Foundation or the charity of the donor's choice.
