Phillip E. Cook, 81, of Romney, IN passed away at his residence at 7:33 AM Saturday February 3, 2018. He was born in New Richmond, IN March 22, 1936, the son of the late Lowell and Mary Line Cook and was a graduate of Coal Creek High School. Phillip married Marylyn J. Crane in Crawfordsville, IN July 31, 1969 and she survives. He was employed as a heat treat operator at Fairfield Manufacturing for over 40 years, retiring in 2001. Philip was a member of UAW Local 2317 and the Fairfield Retirees. Surviving along with his wife is a daughter, Nancy Cook of Romney; a son, Kenneth Cook of Tennessee; a brother, Mike Cook of Florida; four sisters, Shirley Pryor of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Sarah Suitors of Buck Creek, IN; Kathy Harbison of Roachdale, IN and Jennifer Lennartz of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Jadyn, Jeffery and Jenna; and by a great-granddaughter, Charlotte. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
