Peggy Brouwer

Peggy Ann Brouwer, 64, of Lafayette, died at her residence 7:30 PM Saturday December 22, 2013 after a brief illness. Peggy was born in Crawfordsville, IN. May 3, 1949, the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Anna F. Allen Stephenson, and was a 1967 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. Peggy married Gerald D. Brouwer in Lafayette, IN. January 25, 1969, and he preceded her in death April 15, 2012. She was employed by the Lafayette School Corporation 28 years , having worked at Miami, Tecumseh and Jefferson High School in the cafeterias. Peggy enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crocheting and especially watching her grandchildren play sports. Surviving is a daughter, Karen J. Kauffman (fiance Louis Megginson) of Lafayette, IN.; a son, Michael A. Brouwer (wife Suzannah) of Paris, IL.; and a brother, Robert Stephenson of Lafayette, IN.; Also surviving are five grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley and Johnathan Kauffman; Madelyn and Matthew Brouwer; and by three great-grandchildren, Zoey Akins, Gerrard Fields and Noah Kauffman. She was preceded in death by a brother, John A. Stephenson. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 9:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM Saturday, Rev. William L.
