Paula E. Emerson, 48, of Linden, and formerly of Hillsboro, IN. died at her residence 10:20 AM Sunday June 28, 2008 after an illness of 2 and a half years. Born July 27, 1960 in Crawfordsville, IN., the daughter of Leslie Ray and Martha Wesley Koekenberg, she was a 1978 graduate of North Montgomery High School and served in the US Army from 1978 until 1981. Her marriage was to Roger M. Emerson at Nashville, IN. November 1, 1985, and he survives. Mrs. Emerson had worked as a postal clerk at the Linden Post Office, and had formerly been employed at the Target store in Crawfordsville. She was a member of St. Paul Community Church; the Red Hat Society and did volunteer work at the Linden Public Library. Surviving beside her husband are her parents, Leslie R. and Martha Koekenberg of Darlington; 2 sons, Presston S. Emerson (wife Liz) of Crawfordsville and Mark A. Emerson (wife Whitney) of Linden; 2 brothers, Paul A. and Bill Koekenberg, both of Darlington, IN.; and a sister, Peggy D. Underwood (husband Lyle) of Darlington, IN. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden, IN. from 5 until 7 PM Thursday. Funeral services at HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME 10:30 AM Friday, Rev.
