Patricia J. (Hatke) FitzSimons White, 93, of Lafayette, passed away on Friday evening June 2, 2023 at the residence of her daughter, Rose Marie Killian-Alenduff. Patricia was born in Lafayette February 27, 1930, the daughter of the late George P. Hatke, Jr. and Mildred C. (Farrell) Hatke. Patricia was a lifelong Lafayette resident and a 1948 graduate of St. Francis High School. On November 25,1950, she married Norbert P. FitzSimons who preceded her in death on March 29, 1997, and later married Larry E. White on July 24, 1999, who preceded her in death January 19, 2010. Patricia will be remembered for her passion and love of family and friends. If asked, she would say her primary vocation was motherhood, which extended to more than just her five children. Patricia was a member of St. Ann Church and Shrine, the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Ann, past president and member of the Ladies Auxiliary #347 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and was an avid bowler. From 1969 until 1997 she was employed as the sexton at St. Mary Cemetery in Lafayette. Surviving is son, Paul J. FitzSimons (Debbie) of Gloucester, VA; daughter, Rose Marie Killian-Alenduff of Lafayette, IN; daughter, Cynthia A. Habbinga (Max) of Palm Coast, FL; daughter-in-law, Tami (Campbell) FitzSimons, Mesa, AZ; son, Raymond A. FitzSimons (Regina) of Brookston, IN; son, Keith White (Deb) of West Lafayette, IN; son, Kevin White (Bobbi) of Buck Creek, IN; daughter, Jodi White (Michael Bolyard) of West Lafayette, IN; sister, Helen E. Bagley of Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Alice A. Holladay of Lafayette, IN; sister, Marjorie E. Richard of Dayton, IN; step-daughter, Lisa Billingsley of Panama City, FL; stepson, Dustin Billingsley of Lafayette, IN; special daughter-in-law, Mary Rita FitzSimons of Lafayette, IN; and special son, Scott Edward Farris of Williamsport, IN. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark K. FitzSimons, her brother, Kenneth L. Hatke, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited at 2:30 PM, followed by visitation from 3 to 5 PM Sunday, June 11 at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, June 12 at St. Ann Church and Shrine in Lafayette. Fr. Dennis Faker and Fr. Dominic Young, Concelebrants, officiating.
