Olive (Atkinson) Roberts passed away in West Lafayette, IN on Thursday March 30, 2017 at the age of 100. She was born June 14, 1916, in Benton County, IN, the daughter of the Elmer and Viola Ruth (Phares) Atkinson. Olive grew up on the Atkinson family farm where she could fish, play with animals and pick wild berries. She graduated from Oxford High School then married Maurice Roberts of Benton County in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1988. Olive was a life-long Hoosier, many years as a farm owner and operator in Warren and Benton Counties. She is survived by 3 children, Maurice Paul Roberts of Lafayette, David L. Roberts of West Lafayette and Dale Roberts of Oxford, IN. Olive was a very kind and loving mother. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Larry S. Roberts, Troy F. Roberts, Lori L. Roberts, Timothy Roberts, Danny Roberts, Devin Roberts and Derrick Roberts and by nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Harriet McDonald and a grandson, Michael Roberts. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford Chapel from 1:00 until the service at 3:00 PM Wednesday April 5, Pastor Linda Sproull officiating, with interment to follow at Justus Cemetery.
