Norma Allen

Norma Evelyn Allen, 85, of Oxford, IN. died at St. Elizabeth Central Emergency Room in Lafayette 2:20 A.M. Wednesday May 5, 2010. Born May 5, 1925 in Medaryville, IN. the daughter of the late Melvin Clarence and Effie Louella Robinson Rayburn, she was a1943 graduate of Medaryville High School. She married Loren Marion Allen at Ambia,IN. May 5, 1946, and he preceded her in death February 5, 1994. Mrs. Allen had worked for the Indiana Veterans Home in West Lafayette as a secretary, retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women; the Dan Patch Home Ec Club and enjoyed camping, crocheting, reading and attending garage sales. Surviving are 2 daughters, Connie Lynn Lynch (husband Rick) of Atlanta, IL.; Penny Lou Lutes (husband DeWayne) of Warsaw, IN.; 2 sons, Richard Lee Allen (wife Brenda Faye) of Mansfield, Ohio and Timothy Marion Allen (wife Donna) of Michigan City, IN. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Oxford from 5 until 8 PM Friday.
