Nelva Whiles

Nelva Whiles, 94, of Lafayette, died at Cumberland Pointe Healthcare in West Lafayette Thursday November 18, 2014 where she had been a patient the past three weeks. Nelva was born in Naomi, Kentucky September 5, 1920, the daughter of the late Flourmesy and Polly Jane Van Hoosier Thimble. She married Ezra M. Whiles at Mt. Zion, Kentucky august 8, 1939, and he preceded her in death. Nelva had been employed at Brown Rubber in Lafayette before her retirement. Surviving is a daughter, Wilma Jean Justice (husband Charles) of Remington, IN and a son, Ronald A. Whiles of Lafayette, along with a grandson, Grant Yost. She was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. A private family interment service will be held at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens in West Lafayette on Friday.
