Nancy Terrell, 88, of Fowler, passed away Friday, August 6th at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after complications during heart surgery. Nancy was born in Decatur, IL on June 26th, 1933 to Stanley and Beulah Brennan. She graduated from Kelvyn Park High School in Chicago Illinois and moved to Benton County where she worked many years at Essex wire in Fowler. She later worked for the Community Action Program in Oxford.
Nancy loved watching the Cubs play and Purdue basketball. She loved to play games; euchre, hand and foot, board games, old maid with the grandkids and even more recently, cards against humanity. No matter what the game was, Nancy always had a blast. You could often find Nancy sitting outside enjoying her flowers and sunning her legs while reading a book. We also can’t forget she was a very avid and skilled people watcher.
Family was everything to Nancy. She was the ringleader and protector of the Terrell family. She is survived by 2 daughters Pam Terrell of Fowler, Cindy Cummings (husband Scott) of Lakeland Tennessee, and 2 sons Randy Terrell (wife Tari) of Lafayette, and Tim Terrell (wife Lynn) of Land-O-Lakes, Florida. Nancy also helped raised her grandson Chris Terrell (wife Laura) of Oxford. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Nancy is preceded in death by a son William Terrell Jr., daughter Brenda Terrell and sister Barbara Christensen.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford from 5:00 PM until the service at 7:00 PM Thursday August 12, Pastor Wes Raley officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Oxford Public Library. Please leave memories and condolences at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com
