Nancy Lee Irvin (previously Richardson and Barnett) passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 18th, 1960, but spent most of her life in Lafayette, Indiana. Nancy was one of the kindest and friendliest people you would ever meet, and she made an everlasting impact everywhere she went. All throughout her cancer treatment she was a beacon of hope and light to all around her and often reminded them that she was “the cure!” She always had a smile and a kind word for anyone she met, and formed many lasting friendships and relationships with those around her. She is survived by her two daughters (Angela and Amanda), her stepdaughter (Charlene), her grandchild (Cierra), and her older brother (Ray). She is preceded in death by her parents (Kenneth and Eileen) and her older brother (William). Donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Association to help find a cure some day. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 3:00 PM until the memorial service at 4:00 PM Tuesday October 4, Chaplain Ralph Moller officiating. Entombment to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home is honored to serve the Irvin family. Memories and condolences may be left at www.hahngroeberfuneralhome.com
