Also surviving are his 5 brothers and his mother Jacqueline Puetz of West Lafayette, IN and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his father Ed and sister-in-law Nanci.
Being a grandfather; or “Boumpa” as the kids would come to call him, was his greatest joy. It was truly magnificent to witness the love he had for his four grandchildren. The boundless love and patience that he had for his grandchildren and family were virtues that they will hold onto for all of their lives and pass down to the generations.
Matt dedicated his life to his family and the ones he loved. He was a man of few words, but his words carried. He was an extremely loyal person both to family and craft. He valued loyalty of employment and sacrificed for the greater good. He was always quiet, never in a hurry, but always on time. He will be missed by all of those he touched. The steady hand that guides the wind.
