Mary A. Ketterer, 82, of Lafayette, died at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Lafayette where she had been a patient since July 2012. Mary was born in Lafayette November 14, 1930, the daughter of the late George and Angela Bloker Ricks, and was a 1948 graduate of St. Francis High School.
She married James W. Ketterer in Lafayette at St. Mary's Cathedral November 24. 1949, and he survives. Mary was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, the Highland Homemakers Association and had been a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Julie Ann Sullivan (husband Bill) of Venice Island, FL.; and by five sons, David J. Ketterer (wife Linda) of Monticello, IN.; Thomas J. Ketterer (wife Jackie) of Lafayette, IN.; Michael A. Ketterer (wife Isabelle) of Conroe, TX.; James J. Ketterer (wife Amie) of Avon, IN. and Jeffrey F. Ketterer (wife Brandy) of Noblesville, IN. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a twin brother at birth and by 3 other brothers.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette, from 4 until 7 PM Friday, with the Rosary service at 3:45 PM Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral 10:00 AM Saturday, Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating, with interment to follow at St. Boniface Cemetery.
