Mary Hardebeck

Mary Jo Hardebeck, 57, of Lafayette, IN. died at Seton Specialty Hospital, Lafayette, IN. 9:55 PM Thursday January 29, 2009. She had been ill with cancer since September, 2008. Born December 30, 1951 in Lafayette, the daughter of F.W. "Bud" and Geraldine "Jerri" DeRosa Niemantsverdriet, she was a 1970 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She received her Associate degree from Cape Fear Community College in North Carolina, and her Bachelors Degree from Indiana Wesleyan in 2007. Her marriage was to Matthew "Matt" Hardebeck in Lafayette January 3, 1998, and he survives. Mrs. Hardebeck was an inventory record accuracy supervisor for Caterpillar in Lafayette where she had worked for the past 12 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral and was active in the community volunteer program at Caterpillar. Surviving with her husband and parents, who reside in Lafayette are 2 daughters, Deanna Beth Zimmerman of Lafayette; Stacy Jo Zimmerman of Manchester, TN.; 3 sons, Christian Robert Zimmerman of Lafayette; Garth Zimmerman of Lafayette; Benjamin Adam "Ben" Zimmerman of Phoenix, AZ.; and 2 brothers, Phillip "Phil" Niemantsverdriet (wife Letti) of Lafayette and David "Dave" Niemantsverdriet of Dayton, IN. Also surviving is a granddaughter, Nemyiah Rose Zimmerman.
