Mary Craigmile

Mary Catherine Craigmile, 94, of Lafayette, died at St. Anthony Healthcare in Lafayette 12:45 AM Sunday August 30, 2015 where she had resided since November 2006. Mary was born in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Leopold and Mae A. Vogt Craigmile. She was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in New York city, and also a graduate of Manhattanville College of the Sacred Heart in New York city. She was formerly employed at Grace Voss Frederick Photography and the Indiana State Employment Agency. A resident of Lafayette since 1947, Mary was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, the Third Order of St. Francis, a member of the St. Elizabeth Hospital Auxiliary, a 30 year volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital and a member of the Sister Rafinia Art Club. She attended daily mass at the Sisters of the Adorers of the Precious Blood Monastery, and was attentive to the needs of the Sisters. Mary was very active in her neighborhood, was an avid Notre Dame fan and liked to attend garage sales. Surviving are her caretakers and friends, Linda Daulton Wilkinson (Todd), Connie Bumbleburg (Joe), Shirley Hogan and Marge Pratt all of Lafayette; Kathy Batz of West Lafayette and Judith Whiteis of Vienna, VA. Friends may call at St. Boniface Catholic Church from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church 10:00 AM Wednesday, with Fr. Mark Walter officiating with the interment following at St. Mary's Cemetery.
