Mary Ann Anderson

Mary Ann Anderson, age 94 of Lafayette, died Sunday morning November 10, 2024 at Mulberry Healthcare, Mulberry, IN. Mary Ann was born in Deming New Mexico June 14, 1930, the daughter of Walter and Mary Josephine (Campbell) Burke. She attended St. Mary’s Grade School and high school in Anderson, IN and graduated from Frankton, IN High School. MaryAnn was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital and Arnett Clinic for thirty two and a half years, and later for the Lafayette School Corporation. Her first marriage was to Herbert J. Baunach and he passed away in 1973. She later married Robert L. Anderson and he passed away in 1994. MaryAnn was a member of St. Mary Cathedral, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Bereavment Ministry at St. Mary Cathedral, the Red Hat Society and Christ Renews His Parish, Team Nine.

Mary Ann loved her family and her Catholic faith. She is survived by her son, Steve D. Baumauch wife Carol, and her sister, Patricia Bell, husband Jerry. Also surviving are grandchildren Randy, wife Melissa; Ryan and wife Shane; Todd Wilkins and wife Christina and Lea and Vincent Baunach. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Josephine Burke, a daughter, Sharon Baunach Wilkins, two sisters, Betty Alexander and Margaret Waymire and a brother, James P. Burke.

Visitation will be held at St. Mary Cathedral from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Tuesday November 19, Fr. Joshua Janko officiating.
