Marjorie Ann Shipman, 98, of Lucerne, IN. and formerly of Linden, IN. died at 3:20 AM Saturday November 27, 2010 at the residence of her nephew, James Michael, where she was residing. Mrs. Shipman was born in Montgomery County, Indiana January 30, 1912, the daughter of the late Clayton and Pearl Leoata Thompson Lyons, and was a graduate of Linden High School in 1931. She had resided all of her life in Linden, until moving to Lucerne 6 years ago. She married James Rhea Shipman at Danville, IL. March 20, 1935, and he preceded her in death January 4, 1970. Mrs. Shipman had worked at Donnelly's, provided nursing care in private homes, and also had worked at the Linden Public Library. She was a member of the Linden Baptist Church. Surviving are 2 sisters, Ruth Tracy of Crawfordsville, IN. and Dorothy Weddle of Franklin, IN. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, Linden, from 9:30 AM until the service at 11:00 AM Friday, Rev.
