Margaret Biesecker

Margaret Ellis Clark Biesecker, 97, of West Lafayette, formerly of rural Lafayette, died at the residence of her daughter, Patricia Storms 7:00 A.M. Friday March 19, 2010. Born August 13, 1912, the daughter of the late Wilson Green and Addie May Ellis Clark in Lafayette, she was a life- long area resident. Mrs. Biesecker attended Gladdens Corner School, and was a graduate of Clarks Hill High School. She married Lee Biesecker in Clinton County, IN. February 25, 1936, and he preceded her in death June 20, 1978. Mrs. Biesecker was a member of Stockwell United Methodist Church, and served as the secretary for over 20 years of Concord Cemetery. She also was a contributor to the Lafayette Leader for over 20 years, writing the "Gladdens Corner News". Mrs. Biesecker was a homemaker and had also worked in the maintenance department of Wabash Center in Lafayette. Surviving are 3 daughters, Beverly Englert of West Lafayette; Patricia Storms (husband Joe) of Lafayette; Carol Marks (husband Sam) of Winamac, IN.; a step-daughter Thelma Hufford of Kokomo, IN.; 2 sons, Lee Biesecker ( wife Sue) of Mulberry, IN.; Art Biesecker of Richmond, IN.; and a step-son Ellsworth Biesecker (wife Grace) of Frankfort, IN. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister, Mary Clark and a brother Joe Clark. Friends may call at the HAHN-GROEBER FUNERAL HOME, 1104 Columbia St., from 11 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Monday, Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Interment Concord Cemetery.
