Lois Eikenberry

Lois R. Eikenberry, 83, of Lafayette, IN. passed away at her residence at 7:32 P.M.,
Friday, September 10, 2010. She was born in Peru, IN, July 4, 1927, the daughter of Ora
Arthur and Ethel Marie Jones Bussard. Lois married Richard L. Eikenberry in the First
Baptist Church in Peru, IN on June 16, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 9,
1998.
Lois was a 1945 graduate of Peru High School and was employed by the Lafayette
National Bank for 21 years retiring in 1989 as Operations Officer. She was a member of
the Central Presbyterian Church in Lafayette and Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
She is survived by her daughter Judith Schmitz and her husband John of Lafayette. IN
and her son Mark Eikenberry and his wife Abbie of Springboro, OH; grandchildren Amy
Eikenberry. Jeffrey Schmitz and Jennifer Colburn and her husband Matthew; greatgrandchildren
Avery Elizabeth Colburn and Limn Paul Colburn: a sister Jane Warner of
Scituate. MA and a special little friend, Holly Perdue.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick, brothers Charles and Ned
Bussard and a sister Sue Seybold.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00-8:00 PM. Monday, September 13.2010 at the
Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia Street, Lafayette, IN.
A service celebrating the life of Lois R. Eikenberry will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday at
the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 West Main Street, Peru, IN with Pastor Larry
Moslener officialing. Burial will be at Mt Hope Cemetery in Peru. Friends may call at
the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home after 9:00 AM, Tuesday.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Kids First.
