Lanny Mcdaniel

Lanny Ross McDaniel, age 81 of Covington, TN and formerly of Benton County, IN passed away in Memphis, TN Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022. He was born in Boswell, IN November 9, 1940, the son of the late Charles and Elnora Anderson McDaniel. His marriage was to Julia Shoaf in Oxford, IN June 3, 1961 at the Oxford Presbyterian Church and she survives. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Covington, TN; enjoyed golfing, watching NASCAR and gardening. Lanny was a proud Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. He retired from ITT Thompson Industries after 30 years, and previously worked at Mueller Brass for 13 years. Surviving with his loving wife of 61 years, Julia Shoaf McDaniel and his four children, Tammy (Bill) Poston, Peggy Holton, Tony (Tamme) McDaniel and Penny Peters; 9 grandkids and 10 great-grandkids. Larry was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Russell McDaniel. Graveside services will be held at Boswell Cemetery, Boswell, IN 10:00 AM Monday September 12, Larry McMillan officiating.
