Judith Kay Hotchkiss, 69, of Lafayette, died at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 5:15 AM. She was born in Crawfordsville, IN. February 11, 1944, the daughter of the late Dennis M. and E. Maxine King Walker. Judith had resided in Lafayette since 1957, and been employed at the Indiana Veterans Home as a housekeeper, and had also been employed at Kyger Pie Co. for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Judith loved attending the Covered Bridge Festival, flea markets, crocheting and gardening. Surviving is a son, Jerry M. "Jed" Cruea (wife Pam) of Dayton, IN., a daughter, Kandace Taylor, (husband Kent) of Lafayette, IN. and her companion, Frank Shumate of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Robert Marshall of Lafayette, IN.. She was preceded in death by a son, Bryan E. Cruea and a sister, Bonnie Marshall. Private family interment will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park, with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.
