Judith Lee “Judy” Bramer, age 80, of Lafayette, passed away at 3:57 PM Saturday January 5, 2019 with her family at her side. Judy was born in Lafayette August 11, 1938, the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Roche) Starrett, and was a 1956 graduate of St. Francis High School. She married Richard Dale “Dick” Bramer at St. Boniface Church in Lafayette August 3, 1957, and he survives. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and neighbor. She was a life member of St. Boniface Catholic Church; the St. Boniface Altar & Rosary Society; a member of Smiles Unlimited where she was known as “Juicy” the clown; and a member of Lafayette Fun Squares square dancing club. Judy was retired from Kirby Risk, where she was employed as an accountant. She had also been employed at the former Tippecanoe Jr. High School. Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Nancy Black (husband David); two sons, Jerry Bramer (wife Djuana) and Joseph Bramer, all of Lafayette; a sister-in-law, Ann Starrett of Monticello, IN; and by 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Starrett. The family would like to thank St. Anthony’s Healthcare for all of the care given to Judy while she was a patient there. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM in St. Boniface Catholic Church on Thursday Jan. 10, with Fr. Mark Walter officiating.
