Jude Alexander Cotter, age 6, of Lafayette, IN. died at Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis Tuesday February 5, 2013 where he had been a patient the past week. Jude was born in Lafayette, IN. August 12, 2006, the son of Matthew C. and Karla A. Goodman Cotter.
He attended St. Mary's Preschool, and was currently attending kindergarten at Hershey Elementary School. Jude played t-ball with the East-Tipp Summer Rec program; soccer at Faith Community Center; basketball and flag football at MacAlister Center; and attended YMCA Summer Camp. Jude enjoyed swimming and had recently taken ice skating lessons. He took classes at the Columbian Park Zoo; art classes; enjoyed taking trips to the library; playing video games, especially Beatles Rock Band and Mario and playing board games with his family.
Surviving along with his parents is his brother Kane and sister, Tessa Cotter; maternal grandparents, Terry and Nancy Goodman of Lafayette; paternal grandmother and step grandfather Christine and Craig Itt of Ft. Wayne, IN.; paternal grandfather, Tom Cotter of Mishawauka, IN.; maternal great-grandmother, Doris Goodman of Lafayette, IN.; paternal great-grandmother Bernadette Cotter of Union City, IN.; his aunt and uncle, Melissa and Nick Hollar of Indianapolis, IN. Also surviving are numerous great-uncles, great-aunts and cousins who loved him dearly.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Cathedral in Lafayette from 5 to 8 PM Monday. Mass of Chrisitian Burial 10:30 AM Tuesday, St. Mary's Cathedral, Fr. Jeff Martin officiating, with interment following in St. Boniface Cemetery. If friends desire. memorials may be made to Riley Children's Hospital, 705 Riley Hospital Drive, Indianapolis, IN. 46202.
