Juanita Alice Young

Juanita Alice Young, 89, of Pine Village, IN passed away at Cumberland Pointe Healthcare Center in West Lafayette Wednesday July 12, 2023. Juanita was born March 9, 1934 the daughter of the late Isaac and Thelma Brown Eberly and was a graduate of Pine Village High School. She married William E. Young in Pine Village, IN June 7, 1952 and he preceded her in death October 9, 1975. Juanita was employed by Purdue University in the Botany and Plant Pathology Department for 31 years before retiring in 1999 and also was a homemaker. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren, bird watching and reading. Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Eilers (jeff) of Kentland, IN, Cynthia Richardson of Williamsport, IN, two sons, Richard Young (Deborah) of Milford, IN and William Young (Penny) of Oxford, IN. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Fell and Mary Mings and by a foster brother, Carl Stevens. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford, IN from 12:00 PM until the memorial service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday August 8, with Pastor Earl Bercot officiating.
